Hello, my name is Grant, and I am a tLMHC. My goal in therapy is to build quality relationships that establish trust and a foundation for growth and change. I utilize an approach that adapts to the individual's specific needs that focuses on their strengths and resources. My therapeutic approaches include trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Trust Based Relationship Interventions, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and training in Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. With over 10 years of experience in mental health, my professional training includes work with adolescents, and adults from diverse populations with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship distress, cultural identity issues, abuse, stress management, self-harm, self-esteem, and much more. I am a focused and driven individual that prioritizes trauma informed care that promotes the success of my clients while offering appropriate guidance. I am determined to create a space where clients feel safe, free from judgment, and empowered as they work collaboratively towards their social, educational, relational, and occupational goals.
I graduated from Drake University with a Masters in Mental health Counseling and a bachelors in Sociology.
